MORE ABOUT OUR APPROACH
OUR APPROACH TO WORKING WITH CLIENTS
We like to think we're part of your team and your goals become our goals. We'll do everything we can to help you achieve them.
We have a relaxed, informal style.
We think working together should be an enjoyable experience! It is a collective endeavour which always benefits from creativity, positivity and good humour.
We think the real value of a lawyer comes though a long term relationship where the lawyer knows your business, your contracts, your negotiating parameters, the issues your company might be sensitive to and particular risks your business wants to mitigate against. We want to be with every client for the long haul.
We work flexibly and we are open for business whenever you need us to be there for your project.
OUR APPROACH TO WORKING ON PROJECTS
Before we start work on a project, we always consider whether there is a better approach and whether the proposed structure will achieve what you want. If we think the proposed work is unnecessary then we will tell you. If there is a more efficient way of doing things then we will tell you. If we don't like your approach we will tell you that as well!
We are in the business of building - we build the contracts to express the deals that our clients have created. Even during negotiations with counterparties we prefer a collaborative approach to reach a good agreement that will stand the test of time.
Contracts should be as concise as possible and easy to understand. Many of the contracts we help with become managed by account managers, operations managers and commercial managers who may not even have been involved in the negotiation process. We want to make their lives easier!
We have created template agreements for many clients including multinational companies. We know that long unbalanced contracts can lead to more negotiation, slow the deal flow and affect revenues. Wherever possible we create short, clear, easy to understand, streamlined contracts.
Time matters on projects. We always try to turn work around quickly to reduce the duration of the negotiation process.
